Frequently Asked Questions

Tickets are allocated by ballot and not on a first come first served basis.

You will need to apply enclosing a cheque for the correct amount and a stamped addressed envelope or write your mobile number on the application form and you will receive a SMS payment link if you are successful in the ballot. Payments by card have 3% online booking fee which is non refundable. You will have 3 days to make the payment, after which time the link will expire and your tickets will be offered to the next person on our standby list.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 15th May 2024

18th May 2024 The ballot has taken place - what happens next?

15th June 2024 10.30AM - 1230pm Ticket Collection Day (venue to be announced). You will need to collect tickets on this day at the time and place specified in the letter you will receive. If you are unable to come yourself, please arrange for someone to come in your place bringing your confirmation slip. We will not be able to give you your tickets without this slip. If you forget to come, or are late, your tickets may be offered to someone else on the waiting list. Please put this date in your diary NOW! Our volunteers will only be available on this date to give you your tickets.

If you are unlucky in the ballot , you will be placed on our standby list. We often get tickets given back to us so they can be sold on. We will offer spare tickets to the next person on the waiting list. Your name will automatically be added to the waiting list, so there is nothing further you need to do. We won’t be adding names to the list if you haven’t already applied for tickets.

We can only offer spares to people who originally applied for tickets.

If you did not apply, you can keep checking our Facebook page in case someone is selling them directly. We will not be adding names to the waiting list. Please be aware of forgeries (yes, people do try to sell fake tickets!). Please be aware that in the event of the festival being cancelled, we can only refund the original purchaser of the ticket

What happens if I do not include the correct amount, or a stamped addressed envelope, the wrong address or my mobile number is not legible?

Unfortunately we will not be able to process applications that are invalid and if we cannot read your mobile number , the text may go to the wrong person

What happens if the application is lost in the post?

We are unable to take responsibility for any applications lost in the post. You may consider using a signed for service from Royal Mail to track it to our PO Box.

CHILDREN AT LITTLEASTONBURY

This is a family event and we want everyone to have a great time. Children are classed as under 18 and they will be issued with a child wristband. If you have applied for children’s tickets you must ensure they arrive with someone who is over 18 with an adult ticket. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ENTRY FOR ANY CHILD WHO DOES NOT COME WITH AN ADULT. Our security will tell anyone who is under 18 (or looks under 18 even if they have an adult ticket and cannot present ID) that they will have to wait at the gate and wait for an adult to come in with them.

Exiting the Event

Anyone with a child’s wristband will not be allowed out of the park unless accompanied by an adult. Wristbands will need to be shown when re-entering the park. If you do not have a wristband, you will not be readmitted. All under 18s will need to re-enter with an adult.

NO CHILDREN WILL BE READMITTED WITHOUT AN ADULT

When leaving the event please respect our neighbours and leave quietly, taking your rubbish with you or disposing of it in one of our bins. We rely on volunteers to clean up after the event so you can help by throwing your rubbish in the bins.

GAZEBO SPACE

Gazebos are offered to our sponsors and volunteers first. If there are any spaces remaining, they will be advertised on our website. Details of costs will be given at this time. There are currently no gazebo spaces available

Once you have been successful in getting tickets and find you have spare tickets to sell, please do not offer them for inflated prices. It's a charitable event and we would prefer to see tickets being sold at face value. We can accept spares back and give you a refund if we have people on our waiting list who require them. We can pass tickets on up until two days before the event. We cannot find buyers for your tickets the day before the event.

If you have been fortunate to be offered gazebo space you need to have it erected by 3pm. If you have not been offered gazebo space, please do not bring one as all spaces have been allocated.

If you have a child ticket and want to upgrade it to an adults ticket and pay the difference you can do so by email admin@littleastonbury.co.uk and we will give you all necessary details. It is not possible to downgrade an adult ticket to a child ticket.

Security

If you have a forged ticket you will not be admitted. Please only get your tickets from us.

We will be operating a random bag search when you enter the park. We will try not to delay you too much as you enter, but for the safety and security of all guests we may ask to take a quick look in your bags. You will be refused entry if you do not allow a bag search and no refund will be given.

We have a zero tolerance to underage drinking and drug taking. Anyone found to be carrying drugs such as Nitrous Oxide canisters will be escorted to the exit. Anti social behaviour will be dealt with by security, please let staff know if you see anything. This is a family event and we will do everything we can to maintain a friendly atmosphere for our guests. Police will be in attendance and will deal with any serious issues.

If you see any antisocial behaviour, people jumping over the fence or anything that concerns you , please speak to one of our volunteers or security staff.

Entering the Park

We open at 4pm. You will need to hand your ticket to our staff and you will receive your wristband You will need to put the wristband on before entering the main field. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR WRISTBAND!! We will not be giving replacements if you have not put the wristband on tight enough to stay on for the duration of the event. Our security team will eject anyone who is not wearing a wristband during the event. Children who do not have wristbands will be returned to their parents and will be dealt with by our security team.

You can set up your tables, chairs, picnic blankets etc from 4pm. PLEASE DO NOT SET UP ANY PICNICS BEFORE THIS TIME! Any furniture set up before 4PM will be removed. Please allow enough room in front of the stage for the dance area. You may be asked to move back if you are too close to the stage. We do not allow vehicles onto the recreation ground to leave furniture in the centre of the park. The only vehicles allowed are those that have been allocated gazebo spaces, and these must be set up before 3pm.

Parking

We currently DO NOT have parking available. Please make alternative arrangements to get to the event and please do not block driveways of our neighbours

Please do not bring parasols or windbreakers as these will block the view for the people behind you.

What you can bring

  • You can bring your own food and alcohol. You are allowed to bring glass bottles, glasses etc but please dispose of carefully. No glass is allowed in the children play area.

  • Sunscreen !

What you can’t bring

We do not allow the sale of face painting/glitter/tattoos onsite .

This is a community event. It would be appreciated if you would please TAKE HOME ALL YOUR RUBBISH rather than leave it for our hard working volunteers to clear up. There are bins around the park but please bring your own black bags and take them home with you.

This event could not take place without the help of sponsors and all our wonderful volunteers who have worked tirelessly to put the show together. They are passionate about Littleastonbury and work for 10 months of the year planning it. Please support them all any way you can. A smile and a 'thanks' is more than enough!

Please share this post and we look forward to seeing you all at
