Frequently Asked Questions

Tickets are allocated by ballot and not on a first come first served basis. You will need to apply enclosing a cheque for the correct amount and a stamped addressed envelope. This is the easiest and most cost effective way of processing tickets (PayPal and banks charge around 2% and this is money we could use for our charity).

The ballot has taken place - what happens next?

8th June Ticket Collection Day. You will need to collect tickets on this day at the time and place specified in the letter you will receive. If you are unable to come yourself, please arrange for someone to come in your place bringing ID. If you forget to come, or are late, your tickets may be offered to someone else on the waiting list.

If you are unlucky in the ballot , please do not despair! We often get tickets given back to us so they can be sold on. This year, we will not be having Facebook draws. Instead, we will offer spare tickets to the next person on the waiting list. Your name will automatically be added to the waiting list, so there is nothing further you need to do.

Once we have distributed spare tickets to unsuccessful applicants, we will be able to add your name to the list if you did not originally apply.

Further details will be given nearer the date.

What happens if I do not include the correct amount, or a stamped addressed envelope or the wrong address ? Unfortunately we will not be able to process applications that are invalid.

What happens if the application is lost in the post? We are unable to take responsibility for any applications lost in the post. You may consider using a signed for service from Royal Mail to track it to our PO Box.

This is a family event and we want everyone to have a great time. Children are classed as under 18 and they will be issued with a child wristband. If you have applied for children’s tickets you must ensure they arrive with someone who is over 18 with an adult ticket. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ENTRY FOR ANY CHILD WHO DOES NOT COME WITH AN ADULT. Our security will tell anyone who is under 18 (or looks under 18 even if they have an adult ticket and cannot present ID) that they will have to wait at the gate and wait for an adult to come in with them.

Gazebos are offered to our sponsors and volunteers first. If there are any spaces remaining, they will be advertised on our website. Details of costs will be given at this time. There are currently no gazebo spaces available

Once you have been successful in getting tickets and find you have spare tickets to sell, please do not offer them for inflated prices. It's a charitable event and we would prefer to see tickets being sold at face value. We can accept spares back and give you a refund if we have people on our waiting list who require them. We can pass tickets on up until two days before the event. We cannot find buyers for your tickets the day before the event as we will be too busy.

Please sign up to our mailing list here to be the first to hear about any spare tickets we have been offered.

If you have a child ticket and want to upgrade it to an adults ticket and pay the difference you can do so by email and we will give you all necessary details. It is not possible to downgrade an adult ticket to a child ticket.

You can set up your tables, chairs, picnic blankets etc from 4pm. PLEASE DO NOT SET UP ANY PICNICS BEFORE THIS TIME! Any furniture set up before 4PM will be removed. Please allow enough room in front of the stage for the dance area! You may be asked to move back if you are too close to the stage. We do not allow vehicles onto the recreation ground to leave furniture in the centre of the park. The only vehicles allowed are those that have been allocated gazebo spaces, and these must be set up before 3pm.

Parking is in the school field, if cars are left over night they will need to be removed before 12 midday on Sunday, Also please do not drive home if you have had a drink. Be mindful that there will be a lot of children in the area so drive slowly. There will be security along Forge Lane and possibly police presence so please DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE - it is just not worth it

If you have been fortunate to be offered gazebo space you need to have it erected by 3pm. If you have not been offered gazebo space, please do not bring one as all spaces have been allocated. Also, please do not bring large umbrellas or parasols as these will block the view for the people behind you.

You can bring your own food and alcohol but please no BBQs or naked flames/fires/fireworks/generators

Food and drink are available on site

We do not allow the sale of face painting/glitter/tattoos onsite .

We encourage fancy dress and look forward to seeing what you come up with this year! Be warned though - you may get photographed and these may appear on our facebook page and website! Photographers and videographers will be onsite and you may be one of the stars of the event.

Security are onsite so any problems please find staff for them to deal with any queries

You will be issued with a wristband in exchange for your ticket. This must be put on your wrist before you enter the main arena. You will be required to leave the wristband on until the end of the event. Security will be randomly checking and anyone found to not be wearing a wristband will be asked to leave. There will be no exceptions, and lost wristbands will not be replaced. It is your responsibility to look after your wristband.

We have a zero tolerance to underage drinking and drug taking. Anyone found to be carrying drugs such as Nitrous Oxide canisters will be escorted to the exit. Anti social behaviour will be dealt with by security, please let staff know if you see anything. This is a family event and we will do everything we can to maintain a friendly atmosphere for our guests.

The event finishes at 11pm. Please respect our neighbours and leave quietly

This is a community event. It would be appreciated if you would please TAKE HOME ALL YOUR RUBBISH rather than leave it for our hard working volunteers to clear up. There are bins around the park but please bring your own black bags and take them home with you.

This event could not take place without the help of sponsors and all our wonderful volunteers who have worked tirelessly to put the show together. Please support them all any way you can. A smile and a 'thanks' is more than enough!

Please share this post and we look forward to seeing you all at
